Finance and Services Manager

An international charity focused on poverty alleviation through technology is looking for a Finance and Services Manager to work in their West Africa Office.

The role will mainly comprise of financial planning, management reporting and forecasting, financial accounting and audit, treasury responsibilities. You will also be responsible for risk management, putting into practice and maintaining financial policies, administration, and tax policies. You will also support the Regional Director in proposals, bids and award management, providing information for due dilligence, and ensuring internal approval processes are adequately followed.

You will be educated to at least degree level with a degree in Accounting or equivalent. You will also be a qualified accountant or management accountant. You will have previous experience of using SUN Systems and Q&A, or with other multi-dimensional accounting systems. You will have strong knowledge of fund regulations in the development sector, and good knowledge and experience of all core financial administration activities including accounts payable, as well as experience in preparing financial statements and completing month-end processes. Prior experience as a Grant Officer working with institutional funders such as DFID and USAID would be an advantage.
