Grant Management Officer

Country: United Kingdom
Posted on: 26 July 2017

An international organisation which works to combat slavery and slavery-like practices is looking for a Grant Management Officer to work with its Programme Team. This is currently a part-time role of 21 hours per week, but looking to increase.

The Grant Management Officer will be principally responsible for managing project finance for the organisation's African, Asian and American programmes, as well as managing project finance for the UK and Europe programme. This will entail reviewing partners' quarterly finance reports, handling transfer requests and queries, and managing donor compliance amongst other tasks. Other responsibilities include grant management and financial reporting.

You will have a minimum of four years experience of working directly on project finances in an international development or human rights context. Previous experience of working with multi-currency accountancy and reporting, preparing comprehensive donor finance reports, developing project budgets and monitoring the finances of overseas projects that work with multiple local organisations are all essential. Fluency in English is essential for this role, whilst competency in other languages, especially French, Spanish, Hindi or Punjabi would be a particular asset. An accounting or financial qualification would also be beneficial.

You must have a pre-existing right to work in the UK to apply for this role.
