Board members

Toby Porter, Chair of the Board of Trustees
Toby has extensive senior leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector.  He is Chief Executive of Acorn's Childrens Hospice and was previously Chief Executive of Help Age International.  Prior to that he worked for Save the Children for many years heading up the emergency department, product and marketing development, programmes (including a secondment to establish a new member organisation in India) and Programme Partnerships. He holds a degree in modern languages and further research in refugee studies.

Helen McEachern
Helen has deep experience in the non-profit sector sector in the UK and in direct marketing, communications and advertising in her native Australia. She is Chief Executive of the Cherie Balir Foundation and previously played senior fundraising and communication roles at Action Aid UK and ActionAid International.  She has an International Executive MBA and expertise in reputation management, financial strategic planning and aspects of organisational development.

Tami Ward-Dahl

Tami has extensive senior leadership experience in the relief and development sector. She is currently Vice President, Human Resources and Administration at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation?. She previously held executive positions at Ruesch International, IOMEGA Corporation, and OTC Division. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, a Global Professional in Human Resources, and a Certified Compensation Professional.

Kim Schwartz, Treasurer

Kim has more than 30 years experience in finance roles within not-for-profit organisations as well as the private sector.  She is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at PSI. Prior to joining PSI, Kim led the financial, contracts, procurement and warehousing operations of the American Red Cross and the finance and human resources operations of the American Lung Association.
