If you are concerned about internal controls and practices in a specific office (or partner organisation) then this service can help you understand the risks and improve staff practice.

Our experienced staff and Associates will review procedures and practices, identify key areas of risk and work closely with your staff to make practical improvements. All issues will be treated as completely confidential. The service is designed specifically for small to medium sized NGOs, and can also be used to investigate irregularities or allegations of fraud.

They are used to identifying areas of risk, and can use their skills to help your staff strengthen their performance - while also giving a clear picture of risks and a level of assurance to senior managers.

For example, one of Mango’s Associates carried out a review of an INGO's office in Sierra Leone. The review focussed on how to strengthen the internal control environment, and the relationship between the main office and sub-offices. The outcome was an improved set of procedures and an agreed set of actions to restructure the finance team - so the INGO could continue its operations with more confidence that it understood the risks, and that they were being tackled in a practical and effective way.
