Working in close collaboration with our Recruitment Director, we offer you a unique and tailored Executive search service. This service includes a comprehensive search using Mango’s register as well as a bespoke seach using our unrivalled network of contacts. The Executive Search is particularly appropriate for the recruitment of senior finance managers and directors.

The fee for an Executive search is calculated at 15% of the contract or first year salary, which ever is less. A small portion this fee is payable in advance, as a non-refundable deposit.

If additional support is required such as specific advertising, interviewing  or other recruitment related activities, additional costs will be incurred and a charge will need to be agreed separately.

How does Mango’s Executive Service work?

Mango’s Executive Service is a tailored recruitment service similar to executive search for commercial organisations. If you think you wish to use this service, please contact Mango's Recruitment Director, Lucy Markby, so that we can learn more about your recruitment needs and agree a tailored approach to suit them.

Through the Executive Search Mango will use its established network of contacts in the finance profession and within the humanitarian relief and development sector to identify suitable candidates for the specific post. All discussions will remain confidential. Mango can also use its niche and reputation to advertise the post for you in relevant journals.

Why use Mango’s Executive search?

Mango has a unique position in the NGO sector. We specialise in financial management for humanitarian aid and development organisations. We bridge the gap between the accounting profession and the relief and development sector. We are not only a recruitment service; we offer a broad range of services to help improve financial management across the NGO community. By recruiting through Mango you have access to other services including technical support and advice, training, tools and best practice guides.

What if none of the candidates are selected?

The candidates that Mango introduces to you will match the majority of your selection criteria. It is then your responsibility to make the final selection decision. If no appointment is made, the unpaid balance of any fees you owe to Mango will not be payable.

What if the appointment is not successful?

If the appointment comes to a premature end within the first 3 months of a specific contract period, a percentage of the original fee may be refunded or we offer to carry out a new search free of charge.

How long does the search process take?

Once you have identified the post and the person profile, we can get to work quickly to bring a short list together for consideration. Initial interviews can often be arranged with reasonable notice. Once an appointment has been confirmed there may be a delay in starting whist a candidate works their notice period. Varying with the seniority of the candidates this may well be in the region of three months.

How much contact will Mango have with us during the process?

We prefer to stay in close contact with recruiting agencies throughout the process so that we can understand your changing needs, and are as fully involved as needed. This can be tailored to suit your needs.

Can we use other recruitment channels simultaneously?

We would encourage posts to be advertised on the NGO's website. But we do ask you to use Mango’s Executive search exclusively. As we hold a unique position we hope that we will be able to source the best possible candidates for each specific finance post. To avoid duplication and ensure our service is efficient as well as effective, we hope you will understand the benefits of focusing all of your recruitment efforts through Mango’s Executive Search. We hope that this approach will also avoid for you the overwhelming administrative burden of dealing with a flood of interest through internet and general media advertisements.
