Consultants

Do you need a consultant to help resolve a specific financial management issue?

Mango can help you in two ways. We can provide you with one of the carefully selected NGO finance consultants from our Consultants database. Alternatively, Mango can provide consultancy support from our in-house team. 

Consultants database

Mango maintains a database of consultants who have a broad range of NGO experience. They have expertise in organisational and systems analysis, training and facilitation skills, report writing and making practical recommendations for change. 
 
We hold testimonials on file which can be shared with commissioning agencies for recruitment purposes. However, unlike our register, we do not interview all the consultants on our database. Any selection decision is the responsibility of the commissioning NGO and the consultant is managed and paid directly by you.  

Costs

To request a search of the consultants database costs nothing. We only charge a fee when a successful appointment is made. The fee is calculated at 12% of the total anticipated contract fee and is paid to Mango, in addition to the daily rate paid to the consultant.  We charge a minimum fee, based on the number of days work undertaken by the consultant: 1 - 10 days: £600

Mango in-house consultancies

Mango can also supply in-house consultancy services.  Mango’s in-house consultants have wide ranging expertise in NGO financial management. They have worked in a variety of countries around the world, carrying out strategic and operational reviews and evaluations, as well as strengthening NGOs' financial management capacity.

Through our Associate team, we have particular expertise in systems reviews and internal audit. We will work with your staff to review working practices, identify key areas of risk and make recommendations for improvements. If you are concerned about internal systems and controls, then this service will help you to understand the risks (in relation to best practice in the sector), and help your field staff to improve their practice.
 
Mango manages in-house consultancies internally, making our significant experience accessible throughout the assignment.  In-house consultancy services are charged at a daily rate.
