Visa policy

If you need a visa

If you need a visitor's visa to enter the UK or other countries where our training courses are held, we advise you to check as soon as possible with the relevant authorities what the process is and how long it will take.

Important note: Mango does not provide a visa service and cannot obtain visas on your behalf. The responsibility and associated risks for this are entirely yours.

This visa policy explains what we can do to assist the visa application process and what information we need from you.

1. Extent of Mango’s responsibility

a. Mango will provide a letter (on headed notepaper with our Oxford, UK, address) to the relevant embassy to confirm that the named individual has booked and paid for the specified training course. The letter will include the dates and venue of the course.

b. Mango, in doing so, is not acting in the role of a sponsor and accepts no responsibility for the individual’s stay in the country.

c. Mango will send the letter of support as a PDF file by email and by fax, if required. There will be no charge  for this service. The costs of any other form of transmission – eg by courier or registered post – and subsequent letters of support, must be paid for by the applicant.

d. As Mango does not use local agents to organise its training events, we cannot provide a local visa service or invitation letters from locally-based organisations.

e. Mango accepts no responsibility for a failed visa application.

2. Conditions for providing support for entry visa applications

a. We will issue a visa support letter only after full payment of course fees (the exception to this is for our FM5 course where we accept a returnable deposit - please enquire for more details). If an application is subsequently unsuccessful, our standard cancellation conditions apply.  A minimum administration charge of £30.00 applies in all cases.

b. We will only issue visa support letters to people booked to attend a Mango training event. We are not able to extend support to others family members or travelling companions, except where the course participant requires a carer or chaperone to attend the training.

c. We will issue a visa support letter on the understanding that the applicant has checked that they have allowed sufficient time to process a visa application. As a guide, we recommend that you allow at least 35 days before the start of the course but it is your responsibility to check this before you confirm your booking.

d. We require the following information to prepare a visa support letter:

  • Full name as it appears on passport
  • Passport number
  • Date of birth
  • Full address of the Embassy, High Commission or Consular Office to which the visa letter must be addressed.

We will email the invitation letter to you unless you ask us to send it to another email address.
