Mango’s Recruitment team has extensive experience in recruiting professional staff for the NGO sector.
We have experience of working in NGOs' head offices and in the field, as well as in the commercial sector. So we really understand the environment that NGOs work in. We operate to recognised standards of best practice.
Mango is a UK-registered charity, which means we do not act like commercial recruitment consultants. We are motivated by humanitarian goals and are committed to Mango’s values.
Lucy Markby, Recruitment Director
Lucy holds degrees in Anthropology, Development Studies and Human Resource Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Lucy spent 2 years working on educational projects in Palestine and has travelled widely across the Middle East region.
She has worked with an emergency health NGO for 5 years with specific responsibilities for recruitment of international staff and 2 years on global deployment with a major international accounting firms.
Lucy has served on Emergency Personnel Network’s (EPN) steering committee for 7 years and currently heads up Mango’s recruitment team and provides Human Resource support to the organisation.
Jackie Meek, Recruitment Adviser
Jackie is an experienced HR and finance officer and joined Mango in 2005. She has wide experience in developing and implementing HR and related systems in the NGO and small business sectors. Most recently before joining Mango, she worked with Viva Network, another international NGO based in Oxford. Jackie has worked with NGO projects in Eastern Europe and Africa and is part-qualified in professional HR management with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Stella Hobbs, Recruitment Adviser
Stella is an experienced recruiter of international development professionals and joined Mango in November 2009. Before joining Mango, she worked with a DFID funded NGO, sourcing candidates and guiding UK and in-country selection processes for long-term assignments with local organizations in Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Mali and the occupied Palestinian territories. Stella holds a degree in Law.
