Course Handbook (for FM1)
Mango's Course Handbook accompanies our highly rated training course: Practical Financial Management for NGOs: Getting the Basics Right (FM1). It is available for free in English, French, Spanish (Latin American), Arabic and Russian. Other languages will follow so keep looking!
The latest English version was slightly revised in February 2011.
The handbook explains all the key concepts of basic NGO financial management, based on Mango's proven approach. Chapters include:
- Designing a finance system
- Planning and budgets
- Understanding accounts
- Financial reports
- Safeguarding your assets
- Managing audit
The handbook also includes extensive worked examples, further references and recommended reading. It is a comprehensive introduction to the basics of financial management for NGOs. But it is not a substitute for a training course.
The fully revised and updated version is currently available in English; translated versions will be added as soon as available. Previous versions are still available here in four languages.
